Kettering and Woodmore are located toward the southwest, and Fairwood is to the west.

Things to Do in Bowie
The City of Bowie operates several museums within its jurisdiction. The Belair Mansion, the Belair Stable Museum and the Huntington Museum all offer year-round collections and exhibits for local residents. Travel north to Whitemarsh Park to attend plays and other events at the Bowie Playhouse. Prince George’s Stadium is located on Crain Highway and is a multipurpose sports venue primarily used for baseball. It is home to the Baltimore Orioles’ AA affiliate in the Eastern League, the Bowie Baysox.

The closest Metro station is New Carrollton, which runs on the Orange and Silver lines. The Metrobus runs from different stops in Bowie and allows easy access to the Metro station and other nearby districts. There is also a MARC train station that is operated by the Maryland Transit Authority, running between Baltimore and Washington, DC. Several major non-highway and highway routes include Route 450, 197, 3, 50, 301 and 214. These roads also intersect with I-97 and I-495.
